What I like, says God, is to light lamps. No static street lights, no, no dazzling spotlights, no bland neon lights. What I like is lighting living lamps! And I light every day, everywhere in the world, among men, women, old people, children.

I light them with such joy, such loving care, delighted with my surprise, and even with a sweet wickedness… What I illuminate in them is a light of love or peace, a meaning to life, a hope, a greater self. trust. It is also a burst of creativity, a burst of compassion, a hint of audacity. It is still courage to hold on, an inner freedom, a capacity for wonder, a trust in my providence, an approach to Jesus, a benevolent gaze…

and many other things that look like me and give light. I like to light you up like living lamps. It often starts small, like an LED bulb. But little by little, as the days go by, it lights up stronger if you let it live. And it wasn’t me who put it aside or turned it off! For “no one lights a lamp to hide it or put it under a bed; on the contrary, it is placed on its stand so that those who enter may see the light. (Luke 11:33) In each of you, I light my lamp, the one that resembles me. Wanna let it shine? The world needs it!
