A group of 14 people attended Fondacio Chile’s traditional Christmas mass, which this time was held under the parrón (barbecue) outside the oratory of Centro Los Almendros. However, the ‘ midnight mass ‘ as it is commonly known, was watched by around 100 other people, via zoom from their homes.
The mass was celebrated by the priest Miguel Ángel Ríos op who has already accompanied Fondacio in other community instances.
During his homily at Fondacio Chile’s Christmas Mass, he invited the participants to share in small groups around the question: What is the good news that Jesus brings me this Christmas?
It was certainly an opportunity to reflect on the need to be “attentive and close” to each other in this challenge of the pandemic.
In addition, this Eucharist was also an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for the 40 years of Fondacio in Chile, commemorated in the year 2020 which is coming to an end. On this occasion, in the middle of the year, the Fondacio digital mailbox was created, which compiled different testimonies from many members and friends of Fondacio and which we will soon begin to “release” and share with you via the social networks.
