Train Change Initiators

Lome Togo / Africa

IFF Africa wants to be a “talent revealer” at the service of a more humane world: commitment to offer services through training in order to lead each trained person to become an actor and vector for the development of society. The objective is to train young people and adults in the implementation of a professional project that makes sense, at the service of society, to become agricultural entrepreneurs.

context

The issue of poverty is recurrent in most African countries. One of the defining characteristics of this poverty is youth unemployment and underemployment; this youth is the spearhead of the development of this continent. Outside schools and universities with their diploma, and in the hope of socio-professional integration, young people often face difficulties. Unemployed, therefore, they see their life threatened by the lack of means of survival, therefore cannot meet their basic needs and find themselves in a situation of poverty or set themselves on the path of immigration.

Faced with these challenges, the challenge is to promote agricultural entrepreneurship by revaluing, in different environments, agricultural professions and improving agricultural techniques to give hope to young people. This implies access to training, land and credit.

It is in this context that the “Agricultural Entrepreneurship” training program is set up. It is a question of producing a critical mass of men and women endowed with moral, technical and organizational capacities; a new set of human resources, transformed and endowed with a new entrepreneurial culture.
