Environmental protection in Congo Brazaville

Fondacio in Congo Brazza launches the assault and plants trees.

As part of the valorization of the land and the protection of the environment, young people from Fondacio in Congo Brazzaville went on Sunday, January 19, 2020 to Yie, a locality located 49 kms north of Brazzaville on the community land to plant some fruit trees.

This management aims to enhance the value of the land and contribute to the safeguarding of the common house. Laudato Si" centres in perspective for future generations. They are also thinking of planting some artemisia there to kick malaria out.

Why is planting trees important ?

Trees provide a multitude of benefits, both long and short term. They improve life and fulfill essential needs to human beings. They provide oxygen, filter and clean the air we breathe, contribute in water cycle and climate change. Fruit trees also provide food to both animals and humans and let's not forget that they also provide shelter for animals.

Planting trees also has an impact on the health of people living close by, they have a  positive impact on mental health and wellbeing, reducing stress and encouraging outdoor exercise.

Pollution, waste culture and climate change.

Fondacio wishes to play its part to face this crisis, the search for solutions and the assumption of responsibility in the face of these challenges. This integral approach to the protection of nature and the protection of the most vulnerable encourages a new synthesis for a more integral and integrated living environment, in order to create a more humane and just world !

Well done to them !

Let's not give up !
