Little by little our library has continued to meet with the different groups and to encourage them with significant interventions. Where the stories, images, music and interactions go beyond the coldness of the screens achieving joy, connection, contact with the stories and the maintenance of the links.
During these last two months we have met remotely with the young people of the special education school El Trigal, the youngest ones with their families from the Estrella Andina, Azucenas and Colegio Las Canteras kindergartens, also with green and colourful connections for the 5 groups of the Hortitherapy programme; with this same Hortitherapy programme Mónica, their guide, gave our children from the Library Afternoons an interesting workshop on growing seeds and medicinal plants.
In this period, which is so new for everyone, we have also opened up to other spaces with activities such as: the San Carlos Home of the Las Rosas Foundation, the team of volunteers from the Giracuentos Foundation (volunteers who bring stories to children in hospital) and the educational community of the Madretierra Special Education School in Lo Barnechea.
Our hope is that we will be able to meet again live, as far as possible, in the Fondacio park to encourage life around the readings which, especially in this time, become a breath of fresh air that we all need.
