Having access to water is more than a necessity, it's vital!
Access to safe water is very important as it improves the health of families, helps girls to stay in school, gives people back their time lost collecting water and changes their lifes !
The populations of the surrounding villages of Léo (a town located 165.38 km from the capital Ouagadougou) are delighted with the implementation of a well at the Fondacio community field in their area.
As an answer to a cry of heart, this jewel comes to satisfy their daily domestic needs. A "Water Committee" made up of the residents of the drilling site plus a member of Fondacio in Burkina was set up to ensure good water management.
It should be noted that Léo is a town in Burkina Faso located in the province of Sissili in the Centre-West region with an estimated population in 2012 of 32,658 inhabitants. Fondacio has been working in this region for more than 18 years.
A team from the Africa Program (Amah and Vincent) is currently visiting Burkina Faso to meet the actors of the Development and Solidarity Projects of Fada and Tambiga (LPJ, Simandari and EPMO).
We wish them all a good mission !
