For a new boost! For a new recovery!
More than 45 couples took part in this 3-day session, organised for the first time in the magnificent setting of Les Tourelles on the Opal Coast.
A unique experience inspired by the 4 elements
Water: Fluidity in communication and adaptability of the couple.
Earth: The anchor and solid foundations of the relationship.
Fire: Passion, energy and the power of commitment.
Air: Breathing, openness and the space necessary for everyone to flourish.
These elements guided each couple in an exploration of their strengths, their weaknesses and their common projects.
A warm and welcoming climate
The atmosphere was warm and attentive. Testimonies, workshops and sharing in small groups allowed everyone to relax, to be enriched by the perspective of others and to move forward together.
"At first I didn't want to go... so I invited a friend. But I was really missing something. It was incredible... The hosts are wonderful and they gave us the opportunity to experience a lot of things. They listen to us and our sharing is very rich. I'm not afraid to express myself and give my opinion anymore."– V.
A highlight for all ages
The session not only touched the couples, but also the young people present, who experienced a personal and spiritual journey.
"At 13, I discovered a little more about who God is thanks to the testimonies and the evening prayer which were so beautiful. I am not afraid to talk about my faith, my questions, my doubts… it allows me to move forward on my path."– A., 18 years old
Precious time to move forward together
This time chosen for two was an essential break to love, understand and build together. It offered each couple a space to reflect, refocus and renew themselves.
And you? Have you ever taken the time to invest in your relationship?
Testimony of Valérie and Emmanuel
We are Valérie and Emmanuel, little "newbies" in the discovery of the couples session organized by Fondacio. It is thanks to Germaine and Marc, who introduced us to this wonderful tool that is IMAGO, that we dared to overcome the small, very human resistances when it comes to facing a new experience. And this moment was good and sweet for both of us.
An atmosphere conducive to connection
As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. Everything was carefully prepared:
The pauses in music and songs caressed our hearts or transported us into a lively and enthusiastic expression of being there.
Expression through various languages: we explored words, drawing, music, the beauty of a bouquet and even sculpture.
The ingredients for an unforgettable experience were there to make us feel good.
An inspiring and revitalizing setting
The place was unfamiliar to us, but we quickly tamed it. This magnificent outdoor space, bathed in sunshine, offered us the opportunity for a short walk as an aperitif, to reconnect with the essential.
The main course? A long walk to the sea, where each stage was punctuated by unusual and metaphorical objects. They allowed us to revisit our relationship in a new light. We got caught up in the game, and it gave new depth to our story as a couple.
We felt welcomed with attention and kindness, in a setting where everyone could express themselves freely. This openness to others invited us to give each other space, time and listening... from you to me, from me to you. And it feels good!
An experience that nourishes and transforms
These precious moments, in our often busy lives, were a gift of presence.
We particularly appreciated:
Open-ended questions that facilitate sincere and deep dialogue.
Listening time for two, privileged and valued throughout the session.
The invitation to forgiveness, experienced in different forms, and accompanied by moments of prayer inspired by Taizé.
Small group sharing, allowing us to talk with other couples and put our feelings into words.
This session was a real breath of fresh air:
We inspired through the moving and inspiring testimonies. We exhaled by posing our own feelings, by nourishing our "we" through the "me".
A boost for the future
We leave with this momentum to make our couple vibrate, while everyday life sometimes tends to reduce these essential moments. We leave with the conviction that true dialogue is a wealth, at a time when communication is often done through screens. We leave filled with gratitude towards the facilitators, the couples present and all those who contributed to making this session such a precious experience.
Paying attention to yourself, while our jobs often bring us closer to others.
Rediscovering yourself, while routine sometimes sets in insidiously.
Take time to be fully together, and refocus our couple on the ESSENTIAL.
