Big news

Trip to Rome: a founding moment for the future of Fondacio

From September 28 to October 1, 2025, a Fondacio delegation traveled to Rome for a series of meetings with several Vatican departments and the French Embassy to the Holy See.
This trip marks a new stage in the dialogue that has been underway for several years between Fondacio and ecclesiastical institutions, in a spirit of listening, co-responsibility and trust.

"We wanted to reiterate our deep desire to be fully in the Church, to receive ourselves from it, while making our specific contribution," explains Benoît Vignon.

The discussions provided an opportunity to present Fondacio's mission, its priorities—training, community life, and solidarity development projects—as well as how the movement seeks to address the challenges of today's world. These meetings open up new perspectives for partnerships and funding to support Fondacio's mission internationally.

Philippines – Asian projects that reach as far as Europe

From September 20 to 26, 2025, Florence Alexius, Director of IFFAsia, and Annie Yap, Financial Director of Fondacio Asia, traveled across Europe to raise awareness of projects carried out in the Philippines, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar.

Initially hosted in Belgium, they then visited several partner organizations: Missio Aachen, Missio Munich, DKA, Missio Austria, and ACN. This trip helped strengthen valuable relationships and open up new avenues of collaboration.

It is also an opportunity to discover the new home of Fondacio Belgium and to strengthen the bridges between Asia and Europe around the common mission of transformation and solidarity.

Colombia – Young people inspire the future

On September 26, more than 170 high school students gathered in El Nogal for a youth-professional meeting, organized as part of the Young Lives Development Center (YLDC) Potosí by Fondacio program. The goal: to offer students a vocational guidance space to reflect on their professional and personal futures. Through authentic exchanges with professionals from various fields, young people were able to explore their motivations, discover new perspectives and ask themselves the right questions: "Why this path? For what impact?"

This day, organized in partnership with the Arborizadora Alta and Manuela Beltrán colleges, was a powerful moment of sharing and inspiration. YLDC played a key role in coordinating and supporting the participants, with the aim of strengthening the confidence and clarity of young people in building their life project. A fine example of collaboration in the service of a committed generation, ready to build a more humane and united world.
