Abuse prevention

What to do in case of sexual, power or conscience abuse?

As part of its policy of protection and security of its members and the beneficiaries of its activities, Fondacio implements procedures for collecting, reporting or recognizing any act of violence (physical, sexual, psychological or moral) which could take place or have taken place within Fondacio.
If you have been a victim of sexual violence (inappropriate gesture, touching, rape, etc.), abuse of power or conscience, particularly in the context of activities organized by Fondacio or by one of its members, we encourage you to contact by email the Independent Listening Unit for Victims of Abuse, set up at the initiative of Fondacio since 2020.
The person in charge of the listening cell having reoriented his activity, we are actively looking for his replacement. His contact details will be available as soon as possible on our site.
A specialized psychologist will contact you to arrange a listening session. Rest assured of our full support in your approach.

Victims’ Collective “Choose the Light”

The Fondacio community was born in 1974. Like many new communities, Fondacio experienced abuse from the founder, on a spiritual and even sexual level.
Since the summer of 2022, people who were victims of abuse experienced within the Christian Training Community (CCF) or the New World Foundations (former name of Fondacio) before 1991 have come together to create, on their own initiative, the collective“Choosing the Light”.
We support the courageous work of truth and enlightenment undertaken by these women through the establishment and management of this collective.

Recognition and Reparation Commission

Also, Fondacio adheres to the process of the Recognition and Reparation Commission (CRR), to allow victims to find a path of recognition and reparation with regard to Fondacio.
Several people are currently linked to the CRR.
Fondacio encourages victims and witnesses who wish to do so to contact this commission.
The CRR is intended to receive and examine requests from any person who is a victim of sexual violence (prescribed or not), committed by a religious man or woman, or a member of new communities, such as Fondacio, affiliated with Corref for this reparation mechanism.
The victim must have been a minor or an adult “in a vulnerable situation” at the time of the events.
The Commission has jurisdiction, regardless of the nationality of the victim, for all alleged acts committed on national territory or abroad by these religious figures or members of the community.
The CRR is a "third party of justice" between victims and communities. It is inspired by restorative justice and takes into account the victim's words to assess with them the seriousness of the facts reported as well as the consequences of the violence suffered in their life. It is a form of justice that complements civil and criminal justice. It takes over when criminal justice cannot intervene due to the death of the perpetrator, the statute of limitations or the rigidity of its procedures and qualifications.

At the same time, we invite you, if you wish, to report the facts to the courts.
You can also contact a victim support association or dial the national victim support number: 116 006.
On Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, Fondacio is launching an independent study commission, continuing the work of shedding light on the abuses committed between 1974 and 1991 and the recognition of victims in connection with the Recognition and Reparation Commission (CRR).
