Fondacio's communications team in Chile has created a month-by-month digital calendar, which can be downloaded for free and used as a desktop wallpaper on computers. It brings together Fondacio's major events around the world. It is available in Spanish, English and French.
How did the idea come about?
Every year, Fondacio members in Chile receive a calendar. “It’s a way for us to promote the Solidarity and Development Programs (SDP) that exist in Chile,” explains Francisco Rios, responsible for communication for the community in the country.
After the second International Cycle "CoVivir" on Integral Ecology, which took place in the fall of 2021, the idea emerged to make a unique calendar with the community of Colombia. "We asked ourselves: why not create a unique calendar with our brothers in Colombia and work together as a South American region?
From there, the idea spread to the whole world: "Why not make a global calendar to integrate all the realities of Fondacio on all continents? In fact, the community carries out projects in twenty countries around the world, in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
What is the main goal in February?
This month ( February 2022 ) is the launch of the first phase of the Congress, in Togo, it is the highlight of the calendar.
Indeed, this year marks the beginning of the 6th edition of the congress, which is the highest governing body of Fondacio. For the first time, it will take place in three phases. The first will be held on the four continents, from February to June 2022. Then, the election of the President will take place from October 2022 to March 2023. Finally, all delegates will meet in May 2023, in Africa.
The international digital calendar will display all these dates, month by month. "It's an added value to the calendar," says Francisco Rios.
How many versions of the calendar are there?
The calendar is downloadable, each month, in three versions: English, French and Spanish ( click here for instructions in Spanish ). Downloading is easy and free, although you can always donate any amount you want to Fondace.
In addition, each calendar will be accompanied by a quote (written) and a testimony (video) from a member on an aspect of Fondacio spirituality. Gustavo Lopez, from the community in Colombia, recorded the January video; it was Jérôme Toze, from Fondacio in Benin, for February.

Francisco Rios concludes: "We believe that this calendar can contribute to the integration of the different Fondacio communities around the world, that it can help bring them closer together. We hope that it will accompany us in our daily journey and remind us that we are not alone in our dream of a more humane and just world.
