NEWS - OTHER TOPICS - COMMUNITY - TRAINING - YOUTH - LEADERSHIP

November was a particularly eventful month for the Fondacio network worldwide, filled with action, encounters, and hope. From Africa to Asia, from America to Europe, young people, families, leaders, and communities rose up to build a more humane, united, and sustainable world.
Here are the highlights of this month of November, which demonstrate a vibrant and deeply committed dynamic.

Actors for Africa Journey: A Human and Transformative Adventure

For several days, project and community leaders from 9 African countries gathered in Sichem, Togo, to experience the Actors for Africa Journey.
This key training period helped to strengthen skills, share realities on the ground, and above all , build together new avenues for action for local communities.

Project management, communication, leadership, shared vision… participants leave transformed, equipped and deeply motivated to pursue their mission: Building a more humane and just world.

IFF Asia – Batch 16 cohort sent on mission

A powerful moment of emotion and faith marked Asia with the celebration of the sending forth on mission of the Batch 16 class of IFF Asia.
After several months of training, community life and prayer, these young men and women are now returning to their countries, to their families and to their commitments.

This ceremony served as a reminder of an essential truth: Every mission begins with a call… and every response is an act of love.

The world now awaits the gift of what they are.

Generation Leaders: 20 young Africans embark on a new adventure

They come from 10 African countries and have embarked on a unique journey: the Fondacio Generation Leaders program.
These 20 young people have chosen to commit themselves to becoming responsible, supportive leaders serving their communities.

They will be trained, supported, and then sent out to transform their environment.
We wish them a path full of meaning, encounters and light.

IFF America: Closing of the Volunteer School in Chile

In Huechuraba (Chile), the IFF Americas School of Volunteering concluded in an atmosphere of joy and commitment:

  • More than 80 young people trained

  • 30 certificates issued

  • 15 facilitators mobilized

  • 5 committed partner organizations

The program includes: community vegetable gardens, certifications, official recognition by the municipality, 3 young leadership scholarships, and the launch of a community garden with the environment department.
A true sign that the partnerships are bearing fruit.

From Asian bamboo to the chapel of Shechem: a prophetic gesture come true

In 2018, Antoine Dzamah brought back three varieties of bamboo from the Philippines.
Five years later, one of them became the centerpiece of the decoration of the chapel in Shechem, currently under construction.

This bamboo embodies:

  • A practical ecology

  • Research on sustainable materials

  • A bridge between continents and cultures

Fondacio in Colombia: "I transform myself to transform my world" program

On November 19th, the year concluded with the children and young people of the "I Transform Myself to Transform My World" empowerment program. The activity took place at the toy library of our partner, the French NGO MISSION ENFANCE, where an energetic and team-oriented treasure hunt was created. To progress, participants had to navigate three different areas and solve challenges based on the topics they had learned during the sessions: personal development, preventing bullying, tools for peacebuilding, and reflecting on their dreams for the future.
