The new Fondacio January 2026 newsletter testifies once again to a vibrant movement, rooted in local realities and driven by an international vision. From Europe to Africa, from Asia to local communities, Fondacio continues to work in service of humanity, youth, and social transformation.
Here are some notable highlights from the beginning of this year.

International Council in Angers
For the first time in person, the Fondacio International Council met in Angers, at the Esvière Centre for Integral Ecology. Leaders and co-chairs from several continents shared a powerful time of discernment, dialogue and communion.
The discussions focused in particular on:
the challenges of evangelization today,
the movement's overall communication,
the Generation Leaders program,
financial matters,
and the preparation for the Fondacio 2028 Congress.
This Council has helped to strengthen the unity of the movement, in the diversity of cultures and contexts, and to look together at the challenges of the coming years with hope and responsibility.
Africa – A dynamic of mission and solidarity
Togo – CHARIS International Conference

Togo – Community Day, January 18
Fondacio Togo experienced an inspiring community day, punctuated by:
A Eucharist celebrated by Father Georgio Bentho,
a training course on the theme "Living in 2026 in the movement of the Holy Spirit",
a review of activities up to 2025,
and a time for prayer and fellowship.
A day to reflect on the journey so far and to look ahead together to the new year.
Benin – Meeting at the Natitingou Bishopric
A delegation from Fondacio, composed of Hélène Mekan, Hontor Tawéma, and Nicole Van Otten, met with Bishop Antoine Sabi Bio at the Natitingou bishopric. This visit provided an opportunity to exchange New Year's greetings and share the results of the 50th anniversary forum.
The bishop encouraged Fondacio to continue its commitment to vulnerable populations, particularly in the peripheries of the diocese.
Guinea – End-of-year solidarity initiatives
Fondacio Guinea closed out the year 2025 with several solidarity actions:
escorting 230 detainees at Kankan prison,
support for 300 patients at the regional hospital,
support for 182 children from rural areas.
These initiatives open the 2026 pastoral year under the sign of mission, proximity and solidarity.
Asia – Vietnam
Second Asian Pastoral Assembly
From January 9 to 14, 2026, nearly 60 participants from the Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Vietnam and Laos gathered for the Second Asian Pastoral Assembly.
This time of communion allowed us to:
returning to Fondacio's roots in Asia,
strengthen ties between countries,
moving forward together with courage and confidence towards the new generation.
IFF Europe– Le Weekend Parent
The Parent Weekend offers families of young people in the Tremplin program the opportunity to experience, for two days, the same pedagogy as their children.
A key moment to understand their journey, share their experience and strengthen the bond between parents, young people and the educational team.

Ivory Coast – Bouaké
In Bouaké, Fondacio has benefited from a new location for the JEM'JED ( Love and Help ) social promotion center.
This place supports the financial independence of marginalized women and the well-being of their children.
A local donor generously provided the rental for two months as well as the deposit, allowing the project to continue its mission under better conditions.
These news items reveal a movement deeply rooted in relationship, loyalty, and long-term commitment. Through education, solidarity, training, and community life, we continue to walk alongside individuals and communities, convinced that the most lasting transformations often begin unseen.
