Fondacio’s support for the various community pots organized by the residents of El Barrero is growing. As we have previously reported, Fondacio began supporting the community pot of the Las Araucarias neighborhood association, located a few meters from the center of Los Almendros, last May. Its first 200 solidarity lunches quickly grew to 280 that are currently delivered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. An eleventh has also been added on Sundays.
However, new opportunities to support neighbors have emerged during the month of June, particularly at the Las Canteras 1 community pot. Here, neighbors offer 150 solidarity lunches on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Also from June 20, we began contributing to a third neighborhood pot, this time in La Pincoya where neighbors prepare 80 lunches, three times a week.
At the time of writing, Fondacio has also sponsored a fourth common pot, with 150 other lunches, in particular that of El Bosque 2, while a new request for collaboration has been received from the town of Pomaire, where artisans are going through a difficult time at work due to the pandemic.
