Each month, Les Échos de Fondacio takes you on a journey to discover the lives of communities and projects that inspire our movement around the world. From one continent to another, faces, initiatives, and commitments bear witness to the same driving force: building a more humane, just, and sustainable world.
Latin America – Chile
In Santiago, the Huechuraba volunteer school has officially taken flight!
On October 25, more than 80 young people aged 14 to 30 participated in the first session of this program, the result of a collaboration between Fondacio Chile, IFF America and the municipality of Huechuraba.
This school of volunteering aims to train a new generation of committed leaders, capable of serving their community with meaning and solidarity.

Belgium
Two key moments have marked community life:
The jubilee of Fondacio Belgium, which brought together more than 200 people in a festive and fraternal atmosphere, around testimonies, songs and a look towards the future.
The weekend for 14-18 year olds, from October 31st to November 2nd, brought together 50 participants around the theme "And me, in all this?". A space for dialogue, prayer and shared joy, a symbol of a generation in search of meaning.
Burkina Faso
On October 20, the Dissihn youth center was officially blessed by Bishop Der Raphaël, bishop of the diocese of Diébougou.
This reception center, created thanks to the support of generous donors and the memory of Xavier Bezanson, will offer accommodation to young students from disadvantaged families.
Two buildings, a chapel, a kitchen and sanitary facilities were inaugurated: a concrete step towards more accessible education and supported youth.
Ivory Coast – Les Étincelles Center
On October 13, the pastry training students received their certificates after three months of intensive training in Bouaké.
A 100% practical training program that promotes women's empowerment and their socio-economic integration.
As Carole Dominik, the center's director, pointed out: " A fulfilled and independent woman makes for a happier and stronger society. "
France
– Lérins Islands
The orientation session brought together 15 high school students who came to reflect on their future, their talents and their vocation.
In an inspiring setting, the young people experienced moments of sharing, prayer and privileged exchanges with the monks of the island.
One participant confided: "I learned that you can be a monk... and funny!"
Congo-Brazzaville
The DIVINA center in Congo-Brazzaville welcomes a new class of middle school students this year. More than just a place of learning, it is a true space for fraternal living and personal growth, where each young person is supported in developing confidence, knowledge, and humanity. True to Fondacio's mission, the center makes education a key driver of social transformation, empowering each student to become an agent of a more just and equitable future.
Colombia
In Bogotá, Fondacio continues its agroecological journey with the Altos del Cabo project.
Integrated into a municipal program, it promotes food self-sufficiency through urban agriculture techniques, including an innovative hydroponic module producing more than 100 lettuce plants.
A great example of integral ecology in action!
Benin - Solar Project
On October 19, 2025, Fondacio Benin's solar project donated 12 solar lamps to the students of the Blessed Pauline Jaricot boarding school, located in Sanson, 25 km from Parakou. This initiative aims to improve the living and learning conditions of the young women at the center by providing them with a sustainable, safe, and environmentally friendly source of light. This simple yet meaningful gesture illustrates Fondacio's commitment to integral ecology, which links human development with the preservation of the planet.
Togo – CHARIS
The first international conference of the CHARIS Human Promotion Commission brought together many actors around the theme: “Integral ecology and service to the poor”.
A fraternal and promising meeting, welcomed by the bishop in charge of CHARIS, who confirmed his presence and support for the project.
