In December, Fondacio's Echoes invite us on a journey to the heart of the solidarity actions carried out by Fondacio around the world. From Chile to Africa, from Europe to Asia, these initiatives bear witness to the same commitment: placing human dignity, fraternity, and hope at the center of every project. Fondacio has once again made hope resonate across the globe. From renovated homes to shared Christmas celebrations, faces, stories, and simple yet powerful gestures tell the same story: humanity is at the heart of everything we do.
Here are the Echoes of Fondacio, an immersive journey through the initiatives that marked this month, driven by fraternity, dignity and the joy of sharing.
Chile – A decent house to face the winter
"A family that will no longer be cold this winter"
November 24, 2025 will forever be etched in the hearts of Gloria Milanés and her four children. Thanks to the Un Hogar Más Digno (UHMD) program, their home has been repaired, made safe, and made warm and welcoming.
Gloria, a courageous mother, raises her children alone, including 5-year-old Mariano, who has severe autism and requires constant attention. With his father sharing the home, the family continues to move forward with strength and hope despite the challenges they face.
This project is not just a material renovation: it is an act of recognition of human dignity, allowing this family to live in safe, humane and protective conditions.
Chile – International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Every December 3rd, the world celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a powerful reminder that every person has equal value and potential to be revealed.
In Chile, Fondacio takes concrete action through its socio-professional inclusion program, supporting people with disabilities towards greater autonomy, well-being and access to decent employment.
For Fondacio, inclusion is not a project: it is a way of life.
Benin – Sharing Christmas with MIVO's neighbors
In Agla Hlazounto, Christmas took on a very special flavor. The families living near the MIVO center chose to celebrate differently: together. Everyone brought a homemade dish, transforming the gathering into a true festival of flavors, laughter, and conviviality. Games, dances, spelling bees: children and parents shared a simple and profoundly human moment. A huge thank you to all the families for this heartwarming celebration that will remain in everyone's memory.
Benin – “Light for All” Project
In a village located about 35 km from Parakou, marked by isolation and a lack of infrastructure (roads, water, network, electricity), 28 women received solar lamps. In this sparsely populated rural area, where some children travel up to 15 km to get to school, light becomes much more than a tool: it is synonymous with safety, education, and autonomy.
Burkina Faso – Blessing of a couple, a sign of commitment
On the occasion of the 14th Diocesan Day of Family Ministry in the Archdiocese of Ouagadougou, Joseph and Christine Ouédraogo were chosen to receive, on behalf of Fondacio, a certificate of blessing for their marriage. This powerful gesture, made by Bishop Prosper Kontiébo, honors the commitment of couples and the essential role of the family in building a more humane society.
Ivory Coast – Christmas with the children of Kondoukro
In Bouaké, in the village of Kondoukro, more than 350 children experienced a Christmas filled with joy thanks to the JEM'JED (Love and Help) center of Fondacio Côte d'Ivoire.
A meal, a drink and a small toy for everyone: so many smiles shared during a festive, warm and deeply fraternal moment.
Togo – Christmas in Success+: Moments that matter
For the 7th edition of the Succès+ Christmas meal, more than 200 children gathered in a festive and educational atmosphere.
Games, laughter, learning and the election of Miss Educational Christmas, in partnership with the Nonvignon community, punctuated this day.
Beyond the celebration, hope, confidence, and solidarity were sown in the heart of each child.
Romania – The joy of Christmas in isolated villages
As every year, Fondacio Romania visited isolated villages to offer Christmas gifts and above all… a presence.
In Bucharest, the White Church became a meeting place between heaven and earth, carried by the children's songs. On Calea Victoriei, the "Bucuria Copiilor" choir from Floreni offered a moment of grace and peace.
A simple joy to cherish in our hearts.
Belgium & France – Fraternity and community engagement
In Belgium, a gathering of couples provided an opportunity to give thanks and share powerful moments of life and faith.
In France, fraternal initiatives continue, while in Asia, Fondacio is preparing for key times of prayer and discernment for the future of the movement, notably during the Asian Pastoral Assembly planned in Vietnam.
Fondacio, hope in action
These Echoes from Fondacio bear witness to a simple and profound reality: wherever we are present, we choose to believe in the dignity of every person.
Thank you to all those who commit, give, pray, act, and make these projects possible. Together, let's continue to build a more humane and just world.
