Fondacio Echoes – February 2026: Solidarity actions and initiatives around the world

Initiatives that are fostering hope around the world

In February 2026, the Fondacio Echoes once again attest to the movement's vitality through its solidarity, educational, and spiritual actions carried out in several countries. From Guinea to Togo, from France to Benin, via Ivory Coast and Colombia, women, men, and young people are committed to building more fraternal communities, strengthening families, and supporting each individual in their human and spiritual development.

Through these initiatives made together with several people and partners, we are pursuing the mission: to awaken the best in everyone and build a more united, fraternal and sustainable world.

Guinea: Supporting families and nurturing spiritual life

During the Lenten season, the members of Fondacio Guinea chose to live their faith in closeness and fraternity.

Walking with Lent: Spiritual visits to families

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 p.m., spiritual support visits are organized within families. These meetings provide an opportunity to share a time of prayer, listening, and accompaniment, offering a simple yet profound space to experience Lent in solidarity and communion.

Training: Couple and Family Life

On March 7, 2026, a training session dedicated to marital and family relationships will be held at the home of Jean Marie Lamah, head of the Couple & Family unit. Participants will address essential topics such as managing money within a couple, practicing open communication, and the importance of forgiveness in building a stable and lasting relationship.

Training: spiritual growth

On March 20, 2026, at the Holy Family Parish, a training session will allow participants to deepen their understanding of fundamental spiritual practices: mental prayer, inner listening, communal prayer, and Lectio Divina. This will be an opportunity for participants to strengthen their relationship with God and nourish their spiritual journey.

Togo: Education and youth success at the heart of projects

In Togo, Fondacio continues its commitment to education and support for young people.

9th edition of the Succès+ public speaking competition

From February 11th until May 8th, 2026, the 9th edition of the Succès+ public speaking competition brings together many students around stimulating educational challenges: dictation, reading, declamation, spelling and general knowledge.

Organised in Hountigomé and in several partner schools in Kégué, this competition values eloquence, language proficiency and self-confidence of the young participants.

Sichem Centre: a new step for 30 learners

On February 18, 2026, 30 trainees from the Sichem Center received their vocational training certificates at an official ceremony. Surrounded by their families, partners, and local authorities, these young people celebrated the end of their training and the beginning of a new chapter toward employment and independence.

France: fraternity, discernment and personal growth

In France, the Fondacio communities continue to provide spaces for renewal, training and reflection to support the commitment of each individual.

Retreat on a construction site: gardening and spirituality on Saint-Honorat Island

A day of retreat and work brought participants together for a unique experience combining gardening and spiritual reflection. This initiative, organized in partnership with ALF and Nature & Vie Chrétienne, provided an opportunity for service, contemplation, and fellowship at the heart of the monastery on Île Saint-Honorat.

Pastoral Assembly: Discerning the Future of the Mission

A pastoral weekend assembly brought together leaders to reflect on the future direction of Fondacio. Reviewing the past term, governance, finances, community projects, and training: these working sessions were conducted in a spirit of prayer and discernment to prepare for the future of the mission.

INTERFRAT Sarthe Day: Cultivating Self-Confidence

At the initiative of Agnès and Guillaume, 32 participants gathered in Sarthe for an INTERFRAT day focused on the theme of "Self-Confidence". Through workshops, sharing, and biblical insights, participants explored self-esteem, inner posture, and the importance of supportive relationships.

Benin: The MIVO Center opens its doors to the community

From February 23 to March 8, 2026, the MIVO Centre organized a fortnight of open days to showcase its activities dedicated to the development of families and the empowerment of women and girls.

During these two weeks, visitors were able to participate in hands-on workshops, discover the services offered by the center, and benefit from personalized listening and guidance sessions. This initiative was important for strengthening ties with the local community and raising awareness of Fondacio's work.

Colombia and France: an international youth project

In view of the second edition of an International Solidarity Volunteering project, planned in Colombia in 2026 and in France in 2027, the Altos del Cabo by Fondacio project hosted an official mission from the Apprentis d'Auteuil foundation from February 16 to 20.

The delegation consisted of Sandrine Lefeuvre, project manager and special education teacher, Ioanna Antoniadou, project manager for "Opening to the World," and young Eva Florency. This meeting allowed for the strengthening of partnerships and the preparation of future international experiences for young people involved in solidarity projects.

Ivory Coast: Strengthening Community Life

In Ivory Coast, community life is strengthened with the first national meeting in Ndouci bringing together the national quartet and the leaders of the four regions of the country.

This time of work and sharing marks an important step towards consolidating the organization of the movement, promoting collaboration between regions and supporting the development of local initiatives.

Fondacio: a hope that is built together

These Echoes of Fondacio – February 2026 illustrate the richness and diversity of actions carried out throughout the world: support for families, training of young people, educational initiatives, international solidarity projects and time for spiritual growth.

Everywhere, the same conviction drives the members and partners of Fondacio: each person possesses a unique potential that can transform society when encouraged and supported.

By continuing to support these initiatives, we are contributing together to building a world full of hope, more humane and more just.
