This week was the fourth face-to-face meeting organized by Biblioteca Los Almendros, after a long period of suspension due to pandemic restrictions.
On this new occasion, the children were able to work with their hands in contact with the earth, under the motto that we are all “activists for organic recycling”.
Accompanied by Ignacio, a member of the Reciclo team, everyone was invited to reconnect with the earth, by exploring the composter and its constant transformation of organic waste into living soil. The insects, fungi and different organisms that live in the compost were a source of wonder and discovery of the great world that lives under our feet.
Participants had the opportunity to take some of this soil back to their own home gardens, as well as the invitation to save organic waste to add to the community compost bin.
